In the run-up to what can be a very expensive time of year, we thought we would bring you some suggestions for budget bathroom designs. Remember, it’s definitely possible to have a beautiful bathroom on a modest budget!
1 – Think Big with a New White Vanity Cabinet
Give the bathroom a brilliant makeover by replacing an ordinary white pedestal basin with our beautiful Austin Gloss White wall-hung drawer vanity. Any bathroom looks much better when the clutter is cleared away, and this streamlined design in white can work with all colour schemes and layouts. The basin is white ceramic. Shown here, is the 800mm wide version, and it’s also available in 500mm and 600mm widths for smaller spaces. Definitely a wise budget choice…

2 – Upgrade the Shower Enclosure on a Budget
If your wet room/shower enclosure is looking a bit shabby and the worse for wear, consider upgrading the look, without breaking the bank. The Munic Brushed Brass Framed Shower Glass Panel and pivot Return Panel come in at under £300 and will make an enormous difference to the look of the bathroom. If you already have elements of brushed brass in your bathroom design scheme this choice will definitely add a touch of luxe at a budget price.

3 – Go for a New Loo
Budget bathroom designs can include a new toilet system for under £200, which is very good value and a surefire way of sprucing up a tired-looking bathroom on a budget. This one has the advantage of being an excellent choice for smaller budget bathroom designs, as it has a slim 560mm depth, a close-coupled design and a soft close seat as well. This model also has a water-saving dual flush system, plus an easy-release seat for quick and straightforward cleaning when you’re in a hurry.

4 – Choose a Spectacular Mirror
Budget bathroom designs need not skimp on the luxuries… a new bathroom deserves a beautiful new mirror as well! Our Mollie mirrors come in a wide range of sizes and finishes, this particular version is Brushed Brass with LED Backlit illumination and measures 500mm in diameter. It’s safe for bathroom use, of course, with an IP44 rating, and has three light-level settings, Warm white, Natural white and Cool white.

5 – Upgrade the Bath Taps
Upgrading the taps can add a brand new sense of style to the bathroom – perhaps your chrome taps have been there a while and you would like a new look. Consider Matt Black, Brushed Brass of Gunmetal Grey for an immediate update to your bathroom. Of course, it doesn’t have to be just the bath taps, go for the full shower set and basin taps if you can stretch the budget a little further. Our Soar Gunmetal Grey Bath Filler shown here will add a very new look to a plain bathroom. Hi-rise taps and floor-standing bath/shower mixers are also available.

6 – Streamline with a Combination Vanity + WC
This is a genius idea – with just one order you can transform a shabby bathroom that needs a new toilet and basin. This is a Combination Vanity Basin and Austin Toilet, so you also get storage and surface space in addition to the new toilet and basin. It’s a win-win situation, as it is supplied fully constructed. It will need to be plumbed in of course, but there’s no cabinet construction required and consequently, the bathroom can be transformed quickly, and on a budget. Shown here with chrome finishing touches, also available with Matt Black handles.

7 – Go Super-chic with Wall Mounted Taps
It’s completely possible to add an enormous amount of style to your budget bathroom design for under £100. Our Trent Brushed Brass Wall Mounted Basin Mixer tap set is perfect for a sleek makeover, and a matching bath/shower mixer tap or floor-standing bath/shower mixer tap options are also available if required. Naturally, if the budget can be stretched a little farther, consider a brushed brass mirror as a final touch.

8 – The Best Budget Bath + Shower Screen
When making a list of all the individual components needed for a budget bathroom design, it can quickly mount up. So… look at items that are already grouped together, such as our previously mentioned Combination Vanity ideas. Here’s the bath equivalent – an L-shaped bath with a matching screen. This is our 1500mm Left Handed bath and screen, and of course, a Right Handed version is also available. The screen is 4mm British Standard Safety glass, and the bath is Lucite acrylic. The L-shaped screen encloses the spray perfectly, and there are other trim options available, as well as varying bath lengths, 1600mm and 1700mm to choose from.
