A shower screen is a good addition to any bathroom and can be a great space-saver. allowing bathing and showering facilities all in one. Use with a bath/shower handset or add a separate shower fitting. Here we will help you choose the best shower screen for your new bathroom.
1 – The Plain + Simple Choice
Elevate a very simple white bathroom with a straightforward un-framed shower screen, such as our Venice Shower Screen in Aluminium finish (to go with Polished Chrome fittings). It’s available in two widths, 800mm and 1000mm, which is a very good choice if you want extra splash protection. It’s in 4mm thick glass, and is perfectly plain, so could be teamed with patterned tiles or bright colours, depending on the overall look you’re going for.

2 – Add a Luxurious Gold Accent
Our Geneva Brushed Brass 800mm bath screen has the advantage of our Easy Clean Glass finish, which has water-repellent properties, making for easier cleaning and maintenance. The Brushed Brass finish will match our other taps and fittings in Brushed Brass, making it easy to complete a beautifully coordinated design scheme. This glass is 6mm thick British Standard tempered safety glass, and as with all our plain bath screens, can be installed left or right-handed.

3 – Go for a Grid Pattern
Make the new shower screen stand out rather dramatically – go for the Zurich Matt Black Grid Style screen, which can be styled with Matt Black taps and fittings, or for contrasting looks, go for Brushed Brass or Chrome Taps and Shower Fittings. It’s available in two sizes, 800mm and 1000mm and as with all our screens, the glass can pivot outwards and inwards for easy use and for easy cleaning.

4 – The Reeded Option
A fluted glass panel adds a degree of privacy to shower time, as well as being a very stylish feature in itself. Shown here, our Geneva Fluted Effect Easy Clean 6mm panel is Easy Clean glass with ShatterShield, which is a safety-enhanced tempered glass with a film surface to provide the fluted-effect. It’s also available in Matt Black or Brushed Brass finishes, this is the Polished Aluminium profile.

5 – Choose a Towel Rail
A screen with a towel rail is a very practical choice for both larger and smaller bathrooms. In larger rooms, keep the towel near where you’re going to use it! And in smaller bathrooms, rather useful if you don’t have space for a separate towel rail. It can also come in handy for face cloths or an extra hand/hair towel. Here, it’s our Venice 4mm Matt Black Bath screen with rail, perfectly paired with white tiles and our Ballina Round Matt Black Thermostatic Bath Filler shower set. It also has a black seal at the bottom edge, rather than the regular transparent style.

6 – The Perfect P-Shape
A P-Shaped bath gives the user more room at the foot/standing end of the bath and will of course need a matching shower panel. Our P-Shaped 1700mm Shower Bath with Front Panel and Easy Clean Screen comes in a left (shown here) or right-handed version, creating a beautiful and practical bathroom scheme. This curved set can easily be styled to look comfortable at home in both contemporary and period-style homes.

7 – L-Shaped Bath + Frame
For a very bold look, as well as more space within the showering area and bath, consider one of our L-Shaped baths and accompanying screens. For a particularly clean and contemporary styling scheme, we think our Zurich Easy Clean Matt Black Screen, which has a full frame with a return to further contain any extra splashy showering sessions. Team with a Matt Black shower set, such as our Galway bath filler design.

8 – A Screen for a Roll-Top Bath
Traditional bathroom schemes don’t need to miss out on a shower screen – our Abingdon Roll Top Shower Bath is designed to sit against the wall, allowing a shower screen to be easily installed. The bath is made from Lucite Acrylic, with solid cast aluminium feet, the 6mm glass has our Easy Clean finish for optimum easy maintenance, and the screen itself has an aluminium profile with a Brushed Brass finish.

Conclusion:
A shower screen is definitely a smart addition to more or less any bathroom, as long as there is a wall to attach it to. A screen will work perfectly well with a standard-sized bath, but consider going for a P or L-shaped bath to give the user a bigger showering space. Naturally, all our screens come with all the necessary fixings, and installation is available from our technical advisors via our Contact page.
