Small bathrooms can still be very well equipped. However tiny your bathroom we have some simple solutions to help you solve your tiny bathroom problems… It’s nearly always possible to make better use of the space you already have.
1 – The Combined Solution
A combined toilet and vanity unit is a good option if you want to have the benefits of both. Combined units don’t need space between the two items, which sounds obvious but if you didn’t have a separate WC and vanity there would have to be some space between them to make the layout work visually. Getting rid of the gap with combined cabinets creates a logical design that will work in all sorts of bathroom layouts. This is our Quartz Gloss White Combination Vanity and Austin Toilet with a combined width of 950mm. There’s also a very slightly bigger option at 1050mm wide.

2 – Shower Bath Solution
If you have limited space but need both a shower and shower bath, then the tiny bathroom solution is to choose a bath with a shower screen and overhead shower. This bath is a compact choice – it’s the Stafford bath measuring 1400x700mm, paired with a Matt Black screen with rail. Our Balina round Matt Black thermostatic bath filler/shower set completes the look, providing a comfortable bath and a practical shower experience in one small space. The bath/shower combination is also a good idea for younger children – they can have a quick shower-down on busy school nights or a longer bath playtime at weekends.

3 – A Mirror Cabinet Solution
If your small bathroom requires a mirror, choose a mirror-fronted cabinet so you can have the luxury of some storage space for make-up and toiletries. It’s always surprising how much can be stowed away in a wall cabinet – which keeps the bathroom looking tidy as well. Our 600mm diameter Harper mirror cabinet opens to reveal a very respectable amount of storage space – with two very useful shelves. It’s supplied assembled and is reversible for right- or left-handed opening. Also in a smaller 500mm diameter option.

4 – The Wall Hung Cabinet Solution
A two-drawer wall-hung cabinet, such as this one, our Austin Grey design, looks sophisiticated and provides a good amount of storage. Because it’s wall hung it also looks less ‘blocky’ in the room, as the floor space is still visible. That may seem like a small point, but the more visible the floor area is, the larger it seems, which is a good trick in a small bathroom. Also, choose a countertop basin rather than a recessed basin, as you will retain more storage space within the top drawer. This is an 800mm cabinet, smaller versions are available for smaller spaces.

5 – A Tall + Slim Cabinet Solution
If you have just 350mm of wall space available, then it’s possible to fit an extra special storage cabinet. Our Crete Fluted Mystic Green Wall Hung Tall Cabinet is 350mm wide x 1400mm tall and will hold all the family’s toiletries, plus room for cleaning products and perhaps a set of rolled-up hand towels. It could go into a corner or stand in the middle of a wall, either way, it makes a perfect tiny bathroom storage solution. There’s also a non-fluted version available, the Midnight Green Wall Hung Tall Cabinet 1400x350mm.

6 – The Tiny Corner Solution
Use every inch of a tiny bathroom by including a corner vanity basin. This is more likely to be suited to a tiny cloakroom, rather than a bathroom, but it will definitely help make the most of a small, new bathroom floor space. This is our Lucia Chalk White Corner Basin Vanity, it measures 400mm into the corner and has two useful internal shelves. Also available with brushed brass fittings, and shown here with polished chrome fittings. As with all our cabinets, it’s delivered fully assembled.

7 – A Bi-Fold Solution
Tiny bathrooms that include a shower can make the most of the floor area by utilising a shower cubicle that has a bi-fold door – which means it opens inwards. This intrudes less on the exterior floor space, whilst perhaps allowing for a larger cubicle. This measures 700mm square, but for larger rooms, there are sizes up to 1000mm square. And it’s also available in Matt Black. The London 6mm Bi-Fold can be hinged either to the right or the left – ensuring that designers can plan the perfect layout to make the most of a small space.

8 – A Compact Heated Towel Rail Solution
The smallest bathroom will still need a radiator or towel rail, primarily to maintain a warm room temperature but also to keep condensation and potential mould issues under control. It could be easy to assume that a tiny room can go without heat, but that isn’t a good decision. All our radiators and heated towel rails come in a huge range of sizes so there’s something for all layouts. This is our Seville Matt Black Designer Heated Towel Rail – which could be positioned at eye level if lower wall space is limited. It’s just 450mm wide and 800mm tall. Electric versions are also available for more flexibility.

Conclusion
With the right design choices, even the smallest bathroom can be transformed into a functional and stylish space. By incorporating smart solutions like combined vanity units, space-saving baths, wall-hung cabinets, and compact towel rails, you can maximise your space without sacrificing style or practicality.
